Hi

Some time ago Martin sent a link through telling us we could donate our old bras to women's refuge centres for those that can not afford them. Does anyone have a link for this as I can not seem to find one

Thanks

Jo

The bra thread is here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=400720&page=4&highlight=old+bras

Also there is a link here: http://www.bagitup.org.uk/campaign-article.php?rd=36

You can also find pink bins in most hospitals and the money goes to Breast Cancer charities.

Don't forget bra appeal which has also been mentioned in Martin's emails. I've sent loads of bras to them, they're awesome and can take bras that are a little past their best as long as the clasp and strap is OK.

A really great way to save the world through bras!

As per this link, Breastalk told me that they could not take 'too many' per person (I had a lot to send) so bear this in mind when sending.

You can contact your local service direct, there's a list of services here. If you're into helping refuges you can also get a postal address for your local one and fill it in for free sim offers. A free sim can be given out to a woman working on leaving an abusive home so she's got a number she can be safely contacted on, and it can be used to give her a new start when she leaves.
