Thanks for previous advice, here is where we are now

Hello

I'm posting this to say thanks to everyone who replied on a previous thread I made a few weeks ago when I found out I was pregnant and was unsure what to do.

All the advice was really welcomed and gave me a lot of food for thought.

After a lot of talking ( and I mean a lot!) I ended up making arranagements and the other week booked a termination. It wasn't something we took lightly, it was a considered decision based on many aspects of our lives and how we wanted to go forward best for us and the family we have.

Well... The morning of the appointment came... and out of the blue ( maybe not so much if I search hard into myself) we both agreed we didn't want to go through with it. Totally an emotional decision for both of us, practically it's a nightmare- but you manage don't you somehow? :)

So now we are expecting a bundle of joy and we both agree it feels right, it sits well emotionally. It means plans have to be put on hold but that won't be forever, and we can work around it. I feel like I've been carrying a huge weight on my shoulders which has now been released- I'm nervous but also excited, I still feel a bit mixed up and have moments where I think, what are we doing?! but I think it's going to be alright.

Thanks again everyone xxx

Life's not always straightforward is it?

Often it's those little detours that bring the most unexpected joy and pleasure.

Hope it all goes well for you.

What a lovely outcome, you will look back in a years time, 10 years, 20 years etc and I am sure you will be very thankful for making that decision.

Good luck for the pregnancy, I hope it all goes well for you and this very special little bundle of joy.
