hi everyone
i had a strange phone call yesterday from someone in india i think saying that i they were from microsoft and i had a corrupt file. i was very dubious and couldn't understand where they had got my number. has anyone experienced anything similar, or do you know if it's legit.

thanks for that i was really worried about it, were they going to try and sell me something do you think.

supply credit card details , we "fix" problem ( that did not exist) , card detail suplied to someone who cold called (would you if you were sane ??)

i thought it was strange, surely microsoft dont call people up who have error messages

Same thing happened to my Neighbour,she was lucky enough to ignore it in the end and tell them to !!!!!! off...However they phoned her back over the course of the next few days and started to badger her,each time she just hung up and in the end they got the message.
