My son, has unfortunately just bought some tickets for the V Festival from, what we have now learned, is a ticket scam website called world wide ticket store. He only did this a few hours ago. Can he get the bank to reject the debit card payment?
He is going to ring the web site to see if he can get his money back but somehow I doubt this will happen!
Anyone got any advice at all?
thanks

I doubt it but why waste time posting here Phone the bank and ask them. If they can there is probably a limited time0

Tell him to use the words "Charge back" when talking to the bank there is a recognised process especially if it was a Visa card"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

Were the tickets over £100, and did you pay by credit card?
I'm not sure, but section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act may apply:

EDIT: D'oh - just realised that you said he paid by debit card... Sorry!0 -

Don't really have any experience with these things, but I really hope you manage to get your money back.
