Nero express- cannot use 2 cd drives to burn. HELP!

HI Guys, need your urgernt help..

I need to backup about 15 cds for a friend. I have 2 dvd/CD drives installed on my PC. Ones a DVD writer and ones just a CD/DVD drive. Both these drives are working fine.

However when i try and copy CD on Nero burning ROM the source and destination drives appear as only the DVD writer. I cannot select the DVD reader drive.

This is a problem as i have to keeping chanigng disks i.e put source in, then the blank to copy to, in the
same drive.

Why cannot i use one drive to read and the other to write?

Hope it makes sense.

There may well be compatability issues with nero and your drive.

try googling it.

Nero doesn't like having both drives on the same ide cable, I've experienced problems with this before. Check that you have then on seperate cables.

copy to an image then burn from the image file.If you have room on your hard drive you could copy all of them,then burn all of them.

thanks have tried all this...no luck. OK just installed roxia easy media creater that i had from a while back.

This allows me to copy on the fly...i.e from one source to another destination.

WHY doesnt nero????

it does on my machine!.i do have my drives on different ide cables though as mentioned earlier.
