OK, I've signed up, but not 'specifically' for flylessons, I'll go back and have a look. I got an e-mail telling me to check my calendar, found it once, can't find it now! I'll chip away.

Hi Just wondered if you have all found the UK messages, reminders sent out at the right time for people in the UK. :) You can join at

Have you tried this site for calendars?

I haven't tried them personally, but I know alot of Flybabies have them that don't want to get stung for the import tax..

  • Hi there,
    Well I have ordered loads!
    Calendar - like it
Pens - love them! I get a boost when I use them and read the motivational hug!
Duster - love it as so pretty but not sure it picks things up that well (but I have loads and loads and loads of dust)
Control Journal - was a bit disappointed as I could have just stuck with following the directions from the website - but I am now sticking somewhat haphazardly to the simple routines. Build your own http://www.flylady.net/pages/FLYingLessons_Journal.asp
Sink Reflections - very useful for a kick up the backside - but my copy fell apart very quickly
Body Clutter - found it quite interesting and useful

By the way I have never paid import duty on anything I have ordered from the States so I think I am very lucky or the previous poster was very unlucky!

My tip for navigating the Flylady website is to go the the table of contents

Sparklymessygirl - did you have all of your delivered in one go or a bit at a time? From what I gathered I got stung because the value was over x ammount (soz, can't remember) Glad you said the dusters don't pick up too good as it makes it less tempting!!!
Ruthie Jane - thank you so much for that link! Have bookmarked it so will check it out soon - really excited that we have a group in the UK, I'm so addicted to F/L because I need it so much!

  • As far as I can remember the only things I had delivered in one go were the duster and the timer(forgot about that!!) and the control journal and the pens.

Ah - that was the other thing I had - the timer! My mistake was waiting and ordering a few things in one go - as I said, I think it was partly because the 'value' of the package was over a certain amount. I do love my office in a bag though - and the clingies that were sent free with the order helped motivate me when I was at my worst.

Ruthiejane - thanks for the Yahoo link for FLYing in the United Kingdom - just what I need.

I did write to the FLYlady website asking whether I could get messages in UK time and was advised not to want to catch up! I didn't like to tell them they are lagging behind!

Ruthiejane, if you are a moderator, I guess there must be a forum on there somewhere, all I found was a list of messages, being the e-mails that get sent out at set times of the day - is that the main content, or have I missed a bit!

Can't remember what thread I read it in, but it sent me to a website called flylady.net, there is also a UK branch of it on Yahoo.

I can't believe how much better my house looks for following the few tips, and giving up 1 hour a day to de-cluttering. I just have to learn to be ruthless about getting rid of stuff.

Anyone else picked up any good tips?
