Hey guys my better half is going crazy about my laptop leads everywhere so I';ve made the decision to go wireless.
Can someone please help explain:
- Do i just need a router or both a router and a USB adaptor/wireless card (my laptop apparently has WIFI - though that doesn't mean much to me!)?
- I just want a basic router, so is there anything i need to avoid/look out for given that I'm currently using madasafish broadband.
- Is it possible (& easy) to go wirless with the electricity supply?
Thanks

As you have a laptop you may be interested in this wireless router offer with a free laptop mouse. As you don't need the USB adaptor, you could sell that to make it even cheaper.
:T
It is possible to do it via the mains but not for that price! Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

Well spotted Albertross! I'm not familiar with Belkin numbers but that's no excuse.

Me neither, but the price gave it away..
To the OP, you'll need an adsl wireless router for use on a BT line, not a cable/dsl router.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -
Many thanks Albertross. First time on this board and well impressed with the speedy replies! Just one Q - Given my laptop is WIFI does this mean i don't need the adaptor/card?
