I have experiences buyers reselling things I have sold to them, but never where the seller says they haven't received it. Not sure you can really do anything in terms of proving they received it as I doubt ebay/paypal will accept that the item was the one you sold. You can claim your money value back from royal mail if you have proof of posting. It may be stamps to the value though.
Did you send it recorded? If so then input the tracking number into the paypal claim and that may work, but I'm guessing it wasn't sent tracked otherwise they buyer would be a bit thick to not realise the proof.0 -
OK I see you edited your post so now im lost a bit as you said to start with he had a claim open on non receipt.0

I edited my post because it after I posted this and refreshed my ebay for the paypal case link it'd gone - theyd closed the case so at least that parts out of the way.
Just seems really strange though, it was only a single and both tracks are available online.0 -
Maybe they think they can sell it on for a profit, they may have seen it sell for more previously & are trying to make a quick buck.
As long as their claim is now closed then I wouldnt worry about it (although if I were in your shoes I would be watching the item to see how much it goes for).0 -
There are a number of people who buy on ebay and resell, I do it myself, although not as often as I used to as people are more aware now of what items are worth.
He may find himself stuck with an item that isn't as valuable as he thinks it is!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
