Passenger lifts - cost of replacement & service

Hi I am trying to get some idea of how much a small passenger lift would cost to replace the existing one and what is generally the life span of a lift?
The block of flats has 4 floors including ground level, which services 9 flats. Does anyone know how much a kift is?!
I would also like to know if £11,000.00 per year is a reasonable charge for yearly maintenance contract. We are currently with a major company (not sure if I can mention name?) and would like to know if we should shop about or if this seems reasonable?
Can anyone give me some advice, on this unusual request?
many thanks

that seems very expensive for just 9 flats. it would probably be ok for a larger block.
why not just get an engineer when required? it surely wont cost that amount!
how many times did an engineer required last year for instance?
call outs.
and as for an annual inspection, just a days work surely?
i think all these companies will try and sell you an annual contract, its a nice little earner.
we used to sell PPM contracts to the NHS. nice money.

The thing with maintenance contracts is you can't really judge the price.
The new installation could of been £1 & then a 10 year maintenance contract signed for £11k per annum.
or it could of been installed for £100,000 with £1000 per annum maintenance contract.
You need to establish when the contract is up & look at the price of a new contract through new suppliers & also revisit the current supplier & see if it can be reduced now or at the contract renewal. Not Again0
