Today I have to shout at myself NOT TO PROCRASTINATE....as working online again trying to sort something out that looks dire.

So, changed the avatar back to me and the cat edited by DD in an arty style and I am not going to faff around for 5 hours....but concentrate, focus ;-) and finish what I was meant to do this weekend.

Then I will go for a 50 lngth swim @ 5pm, cook some dinner and DD and OH driving back down from Londodn later on this evening.
..and wash the school uniform and mop the kitchen floor as a break inbetween.
Sun pouring into my leaky sunlounge and the sea is pale blue and silver today.

I know that problem with procrastination, fc... :o

Gorgeous picture of you - v stylish. :)

I'm beginning to feel that we ever do meet up I'm going to stand out as the messy one... :o

Afternoon all! Yes, brown hair & a dirty laugh ;) I'll leave you to talk about Schu (macher? <sp?!>) :o:)

And I am gutted I missed the conversation as I am a huge F1 fan.

We had a great night last night, at my parents caravan for the weekend for the opening party of the season and a lovely cheap night it was....they give you free bubbly as you walk in and a buffet tray of food. I went back several times to get a free glass of bubbly and invented a partner that I needed to collect a drink for too, that was the drink sorted for the night :rotfl: and after polishing off the buffet tray of food, the people on the next table who had been given a tray for 8 (there was only two of them) gave us the rest of their tray, so no evening meal needed either!

Now treating my parents and cooking a sunday roast for them in the caravan...in return I get to play on their laptop with broadband dongle!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

The weather has turned for the better methinks/hopes.

I was working through the night sat-sun, so slept early sunday, but awoke to a lovely afternoon!

Today was also a nice morning!

I took the initiative & moved all my plant pots from the windowsill into the greenhouse outside - being hopeful of no more frosts.

I've planted some chives, lettuce & cress this weekend. Next planting session is in 2 weeks. Will be hoping for some sincere growth from some of the seeds put in to date - seem to be taking extra long to sprout this year...

Some rather wet stuff heading your way from down here right now, but we will be free of it this afternoon. Could be a touch of frost tonight too.

    Sorry! :o

    Morning "nice" people :hello:

The weather has taken a turn for the worse here today.

Doesn't look great for this week.

LJ i imagined you in some public sector office job for some reason unless the weekend night work was something else

I work in a college. Previously I've worked for a couple of charities, a local authority, & also a housing association.

I've had a 2nd job for a few years now - supported housing for young people, care leavers etc. I work as & when required - cover training, sickness, holidays etc.

We work with young people to teach them how to maintain their independence. When kids in care got to 18, they'd be dropped off at a council flat by their social worker, given the keys & tell em not to call again.

Now, childrens homes & foster parents have unenviable jobs, but there is too much immediate stuff to do to prepare them for later on. So, for the last 1+ year of their care order, they live in self contained flats, with staff to support them to maintain education, get used to paying rent, budgeting, shopping, dealing with bills, cooking, healthy living etc. It is scary how many of them come to us & can only cook sausage sandwiches for example.

We try to ensure they stay in education, or if they're working, support them with that.

Raining here now, as per davesnave

Just goes to show - what goes around - comes around ;)

By the way LJ, I think your secrets out now. I think you're definitely a bloke!

What a weekend on here - I stay off the pc for a few days, and end up having to play catch up. You have all been busy bees. :)

But so have I :). The strawberries and raspberries have all been planted out, the tomatoes and peppers are doing well in the propagator, and the salad's coming up in the cold frame. Thank God spring seems to have sprung at last. And with a bit of sun - I don't need the central heating on. Which is a bliddy good job - as I just got a gas bill at the weekend. :(

Ah well, back to the grind. (sigh..)
SMILE....they will wonder what you are up to...........;)
