yeah, one pair isn't bad, but I have lots, and lots of them....I wonder what that means?

Me too lir, me too. I can tell you from experience (sadly) that what it means is that your shoe collection is incompatible with a career in the library service.

About UK sea side places. Over the years I have been blessed with jobs that have taken me to so many places. In the UK I have visited lots of sea side towns. I find that so many are now run down and often chavvy. Once wonderful hotels are now `orrible flats. Today I popped down to Torbay. Used to be the English riviera. Yea right. Full of pubs, arcades and with a down trodden appeal.

Weston Super Mare. Go out at night and it feels like you will get your face smashed in. Blackpool. I used to like it 30 or 40 years ago. It was great. Down to earth, you get what you see type of place. Again, not so nice now. Yarmouth, again nothing like it was.

I lived in a fishing village in Cornwall for a number of years. Pretty but again pretty boring and with a violent under current.

My posh cousin will spend a grand on a week in Bournemouth ( never been abroad ). Bournemouth again, not nice and dirty.

Peace and quiet is still available and I like West Wales for that. Imho, far better than Cornwall.

I think what I am saying is that the traditional sea side places where entertainment can be had is pretty much finished.

You can never have too many Pobby. Same with handbags. Its a special genetic trait that we have built into the arm of the X chromosome that men are lacking. That's why you'll be happy with two pairs, and I'll never be happy with fewer than 30.

And for me it's lipsticks and nail polishes too. I'm a bit lazy with handbags and all that faffing about changing the contents from one to the other.
