Thanks for the great post LIR :D......the only bit I don't get is the marbles (?) preventing them from drowning.

Pics of chicks dozing off...now that sounds good. You can load pics without a lead by inserting the memory card into the laptop...well on mine you can.

The marbles give them only chinks of water if they have a scuffle or trio their little heads aren't immersed...chicks can drown. :(

I have just found a: the little card in my camera...funny little thing, innit? and b: the hole in the computer in which it almost fits.....

Its all a bit techno crazy here atm, I've gt a wii, a belated birthday gift...and amazingly I think I'm using that right...I'm using it anyway! But so many wires now...is there somewhere like photobucket where you can text a photo to to share? I have photos on my phone...but that software is truly headache inducing...I've been texting a couple of the fashion board girls with baby pictures.:o

i'm supposed to be in bed but i've just put some muffins in the oven for breakfast as i have a 9am meeting in a stupid part of london.

    how's everyone doing? :)

    Shattered, absolutely shattered.

Got lots done though today...postponed a holiday my parents had booked for May until September (and persuaded them to waive the admin fee), finally sorted out with the hospital if dad was going back in today or not (this took up a huge part of the day), explained to dad about the importance of a joint account and got him motivated but then he fell at the first hurdle because of them asking for a code and he can't remember it.

I also drove and filled up their car with petrol (no mean feat, it is petrol AND an automatic) without breaking anyones neck by using the brake as a clutch, spoke to his doctor to inform him of dads stroke, cleaned their kitchen including the cooker, fridge etc, did some shopping for them and made copious amounts of tea.

On top of that, I also did the school runs, had a meeting with the school re youngest, made sure I was on the electoral role as my polling card hadn't arrived (which then blooming arrived in the post 10 minutes later!) and finally, spoke to eldest's cardiologist about his chest pains/dizziness/breathlessness, well his secretary anyway.

    Phew!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Hope you're finding some time for yourself too Sue!!

As for the account, surely he has some bank statement somewhere? Maybe it's time to get a power of attorney done before it gets too late?

Good luck in coping with it all, you always make me feel like I should have more energy to do things.

Amazing - well done Sue. We should nickname you Superhuman Sue.

Hope you're feeling OK, dealing with everyone else's problems.

Sounds like you're doing v well if you've got your dad to agree to joint accounts - far better now whilst he is in a position to help and you don't need power of attorney - a major fag to get now if the person isn't clearly in a position to agree to it, mentally, as my bro found.

Looking at all this positively, if this encourages your mum to become less dependent on your dad and more able to deal with stuff herself, and reconciles both of them to some much-needed assistance from social services (which they might not otherwise have agreed to), then some good will have come of everything that's happened recently - even if it might not feel like it.

    Just about misskool.....

It was just the telephone banking line, he wanted to ring up and ask how to go about it and they were asking for a personal pin number thingy and if he has got one, it was set up ages ago and he hasn't a scoobie what it would be...his brain is still working and can still remember the pin for his debit card but just cannot remember this vital bit of information for the call to proceed to actually speak to a human. We don't have a local branch but it was one that was recently taken over/merged by Santander so not sure if we can do it in a previously Abbey branch.

The energy levels won't stay this high, I'm running on adrenaline and sheer bloody mindedness and eventually I will come to a complete stop and fall apart for a day or two...usually when the crisis is over.

Ooohh, just noticed if you thank someone, you get the option to remove your thanks...handy if you give in error but it doesn't half mess up the flow of the page.

My eyes are drawn to it and I can't move on for ages!

how is the imminent move to london?
Chaotic....I sign for my new studio next week but it's not practical to move in until June...but I have to sign now as it's a charity and I know them well and I got first dibs...these units rarely come up. No biz rates and under market rents as we are a producer. We rented from them before.

OH went to Liverpool today to organise opening in 2 weeks time.

So many ''lifestyle'' things I will miss down here but looking forward to being 5 mins from most of our families again.

I also feel very supported by the corp we are involved in....fab team and staff we deal with. It's a real priviledge and I will go with the flow.

I will look forward to having a garden to look after again though...the one down here is huge and tangled + though we have a gardner who comes in to mow and cut back included in the rent, it's not mine.

Did you get the card to work? It sticks out a bit then a window should come up with options...choose load to PC from camera.

    A Wii? I didn't have down as a gamer :D
