Actually I think remember the TV ads a while back- I was impressed if I'm thinking of the same group? Aren't they all independants IYSWIM, but who have kind of signed up to core values / ideals or something?
Crikey, I can sure talk the talk can't I?I should work my way up. I'd be great on QT, init mate:o
Hmmm. I take it the correct answer would be "yes, you would be fantastic"? Yes, dear, you would be fantastic! You'd simply drown everyone out until your point is heard!
I knew you would like the respect party! You weirdo
Couple of their loopy policies in which they have no way of actually rolling out when it comes to the nitty gritty, but sound "nice"...
Raising the minimum wage to the European Union's "decency threshold" of £7.40 an hour.
An increase in income taxes on the rich to fund social welfare programs and close the income gap.0 -

(I considered writing it down before my delirious visions passed, but thought, no, no doubt some MSE thread will jog my memory) .....
thinking the tax free allowance should be £15k. Everyone can live on £15k, no matter their age, family size, etc etc.
Free childcare for all earning under £30k (household gross). Then sliding scale to £50k (full payment).
Scrap everything else (apart from probably about 50 other things I haven't thought about)

It depends on your outgoings. I know people who live very well on 20k and others (wageslave<---waves at brother) who can't seem to live on 60.Retail is the only therapy that works0 -

On a serious note i know or know of 3 local councillor's very well and it's really all about the money and "power" in my opinion.
I know of another one who's wages and expenses were over £200k
He was holding a "surgery" in a area where a "friend" lives and had explained to him about how they were being treated unfairly to which he agreed and said he would write a letter to the appropriate people and sort it out.
Months past and nothing so she phoned his office which i'm sure his secretary was his wife  and when she was told that the councillor was too busy dealing with the PM's expenses scandal and other things were put on hold for the time being.

We live in a relatively poor area and people, who probably start out with the best of intentions, end up with their snout in the trough and their ar se waving at onlookers.
There is far more corruption at a local level than they could ever hope to get away with at a national one.
