Ginger biscuits, like gingernuts, I love them with milk, I have a nice recipe somewhere....

stem ginger bisuits? Cinnamn and bann bread? Cinnamon fruit loaf? Nice cinamony pastry pinwheels?

    What aou easter biscuits?

    Stem ginger biscuits?

The ones in bold sound very interesting, as do carolt's ginger parkins.

I made some really nice ginger biscuits a couple of weeks ago - they turned out to be very popular!

BTW I should apologise folks - I'm very in & out of the forum at the mo, as I have a very busy period at work.

Plus, James (the band) have just put up a couple of tracks from their forthcoming mini album & I'm loving them, as I'll be seeing them in April.

I love James & am dancing like a loon!

Plus am so happy at beating west ham!!!!!!!!

My parkin is just James Martin's parkin - v easy, v cheap and so far un-ruinable - always works well and is v popular. With grown-ups as well as kids.

I like that song. I bet LJ knew I would.

Probably because I find myself ridiculous. And like sitting down.

I used to bake. I wasn't brilliant at it but it was edible or at least I thought so. I stopped when I caught the brat flinging one of my beautifully iced cakes out her bedroom window.

Anyways, I have given up my earth mother phase and am now concentrating on really important stuff.

If anyone is available (LIR darling...) I have been looking at shoes in the sales. Mostly for wearing with skinny jeans and treggings. I am going to buy two pairs but can't decide which two. Oh and there is a coat thingy I quite like.......

    Love the coat!

    Like the tan shoes.

Out of the black shoes, I like the second ones best :)

ETA: Love the orange coat (looks more red to me?) underneath more... but is this the right time of year to be lusting over coats? shouldn't you be selecting floral maxi dresses or sandals for us to look at?!

    Crikey...how many links?

To my taste only, and this is persnal...link 1, no, link 2 no, link 3 yes..of these this pair, link 4, prefer last pair, link 5...you love them buy them. For me it would be link 3, but I love the colour of last link. They sound ''you''. Why don't you trust your self?

I love the coat. Chartreuse is one of my favourite colours. I just don't wear it now because its fashionable. If I were the size I'm staying I'd be buying to lay down, like good wine.

Edit: oh, yeah, love orange coat too SJ.

I will get a few weeks out of the coat (Scotland remember) and then bring it back out in autumn. I liked the orange one too but I thought it would make me look broad in the beam. I have not SJ athletic figure, I am more hour glass.

I will look again at the shoes. Does anyone else like the Faith ones?

I have no taste in clothes, think My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding...

I would try and give you some advice if you're feeling stuck, but IIRC my beret suggestion didn't go down too well last time :D

You mean female shaped. No bad thing.

Give advice. I'm listening...an I owed up to beret wearing too...

today I wore my new shoes with a pair of shocks while doing some of the less dirty housework. Stylish, huh?

I also bought some wedges at the weekend and don't like the ankle strap trying to decide whether to cut it off myself or pay a cobbler. I think I'll end up doing it.
