                                  in Credit cards

                    Hi,
I was wondering if I can do a balance transfer to a new credit card. Even though I am not at work at the moment?
I got my last credit card from barclays when I wasn't working but I wasn't sure if the companies will take you on if you have a low income?
Thanks for any help
Jenjen

You will find it difficult to get a good credit card when you are not working. If you want to try it your best bet is a company you already have financial dealings with just as a bank account or savings account.0

No I'm afraid not. If you look carefully at the wording you will find you haven't been pre-approved at all, it's just a marketing exercise. Until they have done a credit search on you (which they can't until you apply) they don't know enough about you to decide whether to issue a credit card.0
