Power Sellers and feedback!

Is it true that if Power Sellers feedback drop below 98% they are stripped of their power seller rights? I heard something like this before. Just wanted to know if its true and if it is it looks like I would be a very happy person!

A power seller has 98.2% feedback and just over 1400 sales, how many more negs before they're gone? I want to have the previlage of being the person who gets them stripped of the power seller statues. I wont name them now but they have been a disgrace to eBay and other companies.

  • Yes, you're right, a powerseller has to have a 98% rating.

There is a feedback calculator here http://home.alltel.net/micrep/feedback.html to see how many negs it takes to alter the percentage

A powerseller has to maintain a feedback rating of at least 98% to keep their powerseller status.

The Powerseller status is done on a quarterly basis with a months grace. It will not change overnight and the seller will get a warning at the end of the quarter that one of the key points is not being met.

They will then have a month to sell more/improve feedback etc.

Before you moan, don't forget, it's us Powersellers who pay ebay/paypal its fees and the most important thing to ebay/paypoo is the filthy lucre, the money, dosh, notes, spondulicks, commsission, moolah, folding stuff.:p

It's all about the money, the fees, everything else is irrelevant.

I wasnt talking about pwersellers on a whole, just that there this specific one who deserves to be off eBay. For a fact he is going off, considering the amoun of negs his been getting recently!

    Thanks!

    Thanks!

I know, I was explaining the exact process, plus a bit of tongue in cheek, you have to remember that it is money that ebay responds to, not best practice.

Hate to say this but being stripped of their powerseller name will probably make no differance- its not like they get any fee discounts or anything that will affect them. I dont really think because someone is a powerseller that they get more sales- arguments can be saidfor the reverse. Also a few more sales & feedbacks and they will be back to a powerseller after a month.
What you want for revenage is to get them thrown off, any evidence of shilling, false contact information etc ?

I agree with cat. I'm a powerseller, but I derive absolutely no benefit whatsoever from being one. If it means anything to anyone, it possibly impresses a few newbies. Other than that.... NADA.

I had a warning from ebay last week that I needed to up my sales or invoice volume to maintain my status. BIG DEAL. No one who's ever bought from me has mentioned my powerseller status, so getting someone to lose theirs will probably make not a jot of difference to them.

Saying all that, if it makes you happy...........
