Been using ASDA Reward card for awhile but now see that Amex have also introduced a reward card that may offer a better experience.
Firstly ASDA card offers me 2pts for every whole £4 we spend in ASDA and 1pt for every £4 we spend outside of ASDA.
We average £90 per week which works out about £1.80 per month. (The 1st year we had the card we recieved £12.50 in vouchers to spend back in ASDA + I get 1p of every litre of fuel)
Amex offer 3pts for every £1 in leading Supermarkets. 270 pts per month or 3240 pts per year.
I have other spend but it varies from month to month. The card will be paid in full every month and so I have no interest in the APR. Is it worth changing or not?

Credit card and overdraft at 18. 2 loans and 3 storecards at 20. University education flushed down the toilet through debt at 22. Car finance at 23. Car repossessed at 24. Rock bottom at 25. Learnt my lesson 26-33. Now 34 with a mortgage on an affordable house, a car paid for with cash and a bank account in credit. I learnt the hard way.

Why not get a cashback card?
£90 a week is 90p x 4 = £3.60, and you get cashback on all retail not jsut selected supermarkets.
The 1p discount a litre on fuel is good but is it poor quality petrol, put better quality petrol in your car and your MPG will improve0 -
Limited to my choice of petrol stations. Morrisons, ASDA or JET are the only 3 within my daily route. Anything else I have to go off route for and will lose the benefit.Credit card and overdraft at 18. 2 loans and 3 storecards at 20. University education flushed down the toilet through debt at 22. The rewards card is better than the asda card, although it is amex so can't be used everywhere.0
