Toasted rice with tea leaves is lovely as a drink, very delicate flavour - the Japanese version is called Genmaicha.
The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.

I accidentally "popped" rice when I was trying to make fried rice. I put the raw rice in the pan with hot oil and POP! Now I know to only use a low heat.

I think I'll give the coffee a miss, thanks ;)

Sorry, I have been away for a while, so I can only answer your questions now. The rice should be moistened slightly. It should be enough to drain it through a collander. This website tells you more about breakfast cereals:

Ordinary American white rice (e g Uncle Ben's) is fine.
