thing is a got a 2:2 degree thats also holding me back as the companies require a 2:1 ..

i know and it is a tough market out there. all i can say is that i think you are going about it the right way, you are gain valuable experience and the fact that you not getting paid only adds to it.... when markets pick up, employers will see that... you could easily have been sat on your backside waiting for the market to pick up like what other people are doing!! so i am sure things will work out for you!!

I agree with previous posters for now you need `some` kind of employment!
Albeit a cleaning job or clearing trolleys at tesco etc.
A job is a job and you will beable to clear debts quicker then relying on JSA.

True say im hoping i could do some temping

Its extremely tough market out there and there are so many graduates in my situation some fellow graduates have been lucky and have got jobs .. my mate who worked voluntarily for 6 months got a job at my local council after volunteering for 4 months im hoping i can follow suit and get a job im even hoping if they can give me a paid job .. its a admin/reception role .. i agree there are many grad who just sit on their backsides doing nothing and hope for a job .. i so hope they work out for me .. the thing with voluntary work is that emplyers look for this sort of work its dedication .. dedicated to getting a job and by working for free is what employers look for.. and many people who worked voluntarily get a job within a few months..
  • You say you like takeaways? So do I.

Consider delivery work. Dominos or somewhere like that would be ideal. The hours are regular and you can work in the evenings and job hunt in the day [when people can answer calls and emails etc]. Also you will get tips that you won't receive in retail, use your car and claim petrol allowance and of course - FREE PIZZA.

    Worth considering?
