You can do the obvious checks: check their feedback and see if they have sold tickets before, and if they have was the feedback given after the concert date. Some people give feedback upon receipt but that's not always good, I prefer post concert as it's a true reflection of the item.
Do they have the tickets in hand? This doesn't always help as I've got tickets for December but not yet for June for the O2.
Have they uploaded a ticket? Usually ticket sellers do, and this is helpful because if there are a few other sellers you can compare tickets. It's really doubtful that they'll be counterfeit if the other sellers are all over the country.
I have been lucky so far but I really do check them out as much as I can.
When they arrive check the tickets thoroughly, they should have a holographic silver circle - which you can read in certain angles. Of course you can get etickets too, but I've never bought those.
Do they offer a refund? If they have bought them direct from an approved ticket seller then they can get a refund and pass it on.
I have both bought and sold tickets on ebay, I had genuine reasons for selling (DD prize giving evening I didn't know about 6 months prior to getting the tickets).0 -
There's no way to know 100%
Can i make a suggestion that you look at a site such as http://scarletmist.com/ as you can get tickets on there which are at face valuie, which stops touts making all the profit. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. When I sold my tickets, I showed a screen cap of the screen of the ticketing information, seating etc, to show that they were guinine, I also then changed the name of the tickets to the person who won the item/tickets. So they knew it was ginuine and to be honest I could never ever ever rip anyone off, cause the pain and trama it causes sucks....
I dunno about your PayPal question as when I sold tickets, I had an very understanding buyer and also it was my first time in doing so.0 -

You can put them on ebay for face value or auction, ebay rules state that you have to put face value on listing so buyers aren't cheated as they know the true original cost of the ticket.
You could sell them on other websites too for second hand tickets like 'getmein' and it's all legal.
I have recently sold tickets because I couldn't go, I did a BIN for face value so only lost fees.0 -
I have bought tickets for 02 concerts on ebay and etickets. I only had one problem when i didnt hear from the seller and it was getting near to the concert date. I complained to paypal and got a full refund, I eventually heard from the seller, saying he was promised the tickets from a friend but did not receive them. I think you can trust 99% of the sellers on there, because at the end of the day they dont want bad feedback.
If you should be unfortunate and have problem, write to the seller first (as i did) if you dont get any response or cant resolve it then complain to paypal ASAP.0
