On behalf of a friend:

Friend has bought her wedding cake topper and was promised delivery back before Christmas. She is getting married in April and has had no contact since she promised it would be with her by end of January at the very latest.

She ignores all emails and calls to her phone number.

I've had a look at whois.is site and have only got her address which helps, but I was kind of hoping for another phone number!

I know you guys are great at this as remember seeing someone being personally tracked last time.

Website is: www.claytoppers.co.uk

Have just taken a look at Companies House Gov.UK site and they're not listed there. Hope your friend manages to get the problem sorted out in time but it doesn't sound very hopeful.

oh dear, someone else who never answers calls or responds to emails.

perhaps her hands are dirty? that seems to be her excuse:

"due to the nature of hand crafting using clay, it is a challenge to keep the phone clean and the topper being produced clear from contamination at the same time! The current solution to this issue is for customers to leave a message and wait patiently for a response."

this lady, Natasha Holland, is notoriously difficult to contact. there are threads all over the internet about her and lots of terrible reviews.

but, the toppers are by all accounts, brilliant, and everyone who gets one seems really pleased with it, it's just that the customer service seems to let her down badly.

i can't find any other contact details for her i'm afraid (other than those on her website), but she is on twitter, if you use it - maybe you could "tweet" her or something?!!

    good luck with this one.

Go to whois.com and do a lookup on the website, it gives you the address of the woman that registered the website (looks like a residential address) I wont post it here but its easy to find ;)

You could try writing her a nice letter...

    There you go!

Post a concern about a company on an open forum and within three hours, you get a response.

    Marvellous!

    Hi,

Claytoppers is me! I am not ignoring anyone! I have Bronchitis at the moment so can barely speak and top of this we had been having a few problems with our website but as far as I am aware an automatic email is being sent out to let people know who try to get in touch.

I don't really want to go into the details of a clients order or name on a public forum without their say so but I am really sorry if your friend has been worried. I know who you mean and we have spoken - she is very lucky to have a friend to help her out like you have!

Funny that, each time you get "discovered" up you pop with excuses
I explained to you I am in and out of hospital with my son at the moment and so could not get your order dispatched until tomorrow for delivery friday morning. the refund was given to you because you left a message for me requesting your money back!!?!!!?!!

Your reputation is terrible and its coincidental in each case that you only find the time to suddenly appear online, when the heat gets turned up.

On each occasion in numerous forums, your excuses get more and more ridiculous - the majority as a result seem to get a refund 1 or 2 days before their big day.

you need permission to post from the forum team

. I have never left an order unfulfilled and the majority of my clients are happy with my service.

A friend of mine told me she had seen this on MSE so I came to look, I am not giving excuses and I have spoken to the client in question.
    Oh yes, so I see;

    Anyone used Claytoppers?

Eeekk - I have also used them and I put my order through in April... I have had problems contacting them too and they said they had sent me emails but I hadn't got any of them... I have since filled out their full form months ago but still haven't heard anything either... let me know if you get yours!!! Fingers Crossed!!

WARNING! I would NOT buy from claytoppers.co.uk.
My wedding is in 10 days time and I still have not received the claytopper. Tasha promised me that it would arrive in the third week of July at the latest... here I am now on July 29th and there's still no sign of it. She said... 'the difference between me and other cake topper makers is that I make them full time so I have plenty of time to get it done by the third week of July'. It was unfair of her to say this to me when she couldn't fulfil her promise. I don't know where I'm going to get another personalised claytopper now at such short notice.
She doesn't answer her phone or return any messages that are left. I have called/emailed several times and she never replies.
AT LAST replied to my phone message Monday morning - saying the claytopper was ready to dispatch and would be with me by today. Today I receive an email from her saying that she has refunded my money as she can't dispatch it!!!! No claytopper. Avoid her at all costs. :-( Very disappointed. xx
Also bear in mind that the lack of contact isn't just recently - it has been going on for months. And when I suggested if she wasn't able to fulfill my order she should give me a refund, I was fobbed off with "oh it won't be long".
It takes less than a minute to reply to an email to say you're having problems and orders may be delayed, but there is no excuse to completely ignore emails for weeks on end. I certainly was never given any reason for the delay.
Admittedly I did get mine in the end but only after threatening to report her to trading standards (which I would have done). I ordered and paid in February and received the topper at the end of July, five months later.

Before buying from this lady (Tasha) I would urge you to PLEASE research her online - read all the negative reviews at https://www.youandyourwedding.co.uk and look her up on https://www.google.co.uk. The company SEEM very dishonest and unprofessional... and have caused me huge amounts of stress. tasha AT claytoppers.co.uk is near-impossible to contact and several promises regarding time-scales for delivery were broken.
i recommended her to a friend getting married this year and the service she received was appalling- no returned calls, or emails- her phone is always switched off-she replies by email only when it suits and never offers an apology - the topper was given numerous promised delivery dates none of which were honoured
The excuse Tasha gave me (that her sons were ill) surely doesn't explain how SO many other bride-to-bes have been let down year after year. It's very worrying and I would hate for anyone else to have to deal with her or her company.
Hopefully trading standards will get on to her sooner rather than later... either that or she will wise up and improve the way she runs her business.
For anyone who has ordered from her already, I would definitely buy a back-up to put on your cake - and I wish you all the luck in the world in receiving your goods from her.
im getting a touch concerned as i am getting married on Friday and have ordered and paid for cake toppers with claytoppers (https://www.claytoppers.co.uk) I have rung the mobile number which goes to voicemail and left messages, and also emailed. The cheque i sent was cleared some time ago so im getting worried that firstly ive been ripped off, and that secondly if all is well...hey im kidding myself, all cant be well or else she would have responded to my email or telephone calls by now.

Anyone got any ideas? I wont get the toppers made anywhere else at this short notice......

    in hope xx
If you get one custom made, don't use claytoppers.co.uk (tashasbitsandbobs on ebay) as she is a bloody nightmare to deal with. There are lots of other ones that are apparently very good though.

You must be really proud - all satisfied customers huh ;). Thats the trouble with open forums, too many people post on them, and they are just too easy to read.

Do let me know of course if you want me to post anymore, or include the links for you. ;)
