Bank charges help and advice needed

Hello
We were in the process of claiming back over £2000 in bank charges before the case was closed. We were claiming as a priority case as we are in financial hardship having just had a baby.
We thought that was the end of it, tough basically.
however after speaking to my new bank Santander recently they said new cases are still looked at.
The main point of our arguement is that HSBC were charging £120 a go for going over drawn. The worst part was they were taking that £120 on the 28th of the month when the account was £60 in the black. This would then take the account overdrawn and the following month they would then charge yet again another £120 and take the account overdrawn.
Is there a case for trying to reclaim some of this money and how now do we go about doing it?

Why are you being charged £120 a go?
HSBC's typical charge for arranging an overdraft is just £25"Now to trolling as a concept. .... no idea why they were charging so much. the charge was more than the amount over the overdraft limit each time.
we did write to them and explain about financial hardship and they replied saying they would not refund anything but we could come into the branch to discuss how best to save money etc in future.0 -

I think you simply need to understand why you think you are being charged £120 each time you go overdrawn. Ask the bank to explain the charges, and in the unlikely event they agree with your interpretation, ask them to show you where in their tariff they state this will be the charge.
Oh, and then ask them to explain their their fair fees policy, and more particularly why it doesn't apply to you.
