Wanted; Flight Man to Perth for new Gran!

Hiya,
My lovely next door neighbour's son lives in Perth and she's just heard that he and his wife have had a baby boy today.
Of course she wants to see her first grandchild, so I've told her I'll post here for your good advice on flight prices. She wants to go in 4 - 6 weeks time from now.
She, neighbour, went over to Perth for 3 months this year but think she paid premium price for flights - not an MSE'r!!
Any helpful advice appreciated

Prices seem higher this year, possibly partly to do with fuel prices.
Went in Jan-Feb via Kuala Lumpur with Malaysia paid about £670, looked again recently for August and couldn`t find anything below £750 ish, which considering it`s the middle of winter seems high, could go in Nov-Dec (summer) for the same money.0 -
out on 23 aug back on 20 sep £691 on emirates on https://www.expedia.co.uk seems the best deal at moment their is an offer on thai from london with https://www.majortravel.co.uk for£495 +tax returning on 19 sep (still works out at £6620
