Has anyone used it? I picked up a bag the other day for starting my chilli seeds - I normally use the commercial growers stuff my dad buys, but just picked up a small bag for convenience - I have just opened it, and its full of lumps of twig, fragments of painted wood etc... am quite dubious about using this as chilli seeds are not cheap...
any thoughts?

Had the same problem last year with Lidl compost. Full of lumps and twigs, ended up just dumping it into a patch of earth and mixed it in.
yeah, I think that is all it is fit for personally. What a pain in the bum though, got to go out and find another bag of compost now... any recommendations? I have Wickes and B&Q nearby, and the usual supermarkets, no garden centre though0 -
B&Q compost did get voted best buy in Which magazine when they ran some trials growing stuff and for value etc.0
