Old fridge vs new fridge freezer, power consumption question.
Options
Has anyone looked at this? I've got a REALLY old fridge with one of the little open fronted freezer boxes at the top.
I was thinking about changing it for a fridge freezer from argos, part code RD14DRSA
I would post a link but it won't let me!
yes, it's a bit bigger and has a dedicated freezer but it's rated 'A' for energy efficiency but I've head old fridges use a LOT of power. Any thoughts please?

I expect your new one will be more economic, without the ratings of both i don;t know by how much.
You are not going to loose out so get your new one.0 -
Good idea Stone Fox, an A rated fridge freezer will be more energy efficient and also give you more freezer space. If winter comes, can spring be far behind?
Spring begins on 21st March.0 -
If you are worried about power cost, then just check the annual consumption of any model you are interested in.
RD14DRSA is 231kWh, roughly £23 a year. A 60cm wide regular size "A" rated fridge/freezers is typically £27 a year, so it's not a major factor.0
