EDF switched my gas when i only wanted elec

i phoned EDF last year(oct) to switch my prepayment elec from BGas to EDF.
Near the end of 09 i got a letter from EDF stating that i owed £160 in gas.....i belled EDF and they said i had agreed to have my gas and elec from EDF..I argued the case and asked for them to listen to phone call again as i know i only wanted the elec changed over from Bgas.
i recevied a letter today saying they had now received a report of the call.

It says that i was advised of both elec and gas tarriffs and the benefits of direct debit,i advised i didnt want DD...then i was supposed to have asked for confirmation of which type of tariff i would have to pay for the gas..the agent confirmed the standard tariff to which i was supposed to have accepted

when i looked out the letter of confirmation it says that i was going to be getting gas and elec from edf...both prepayment.....now i dont have prepayment gas..only elec....so if i did accept agreement then why didnt they come to my house and fit prepayment gas meter....i know i would never have prepayment gas...iam very happy with my quartely billing...HELP

Tell your gas supplier(not edf)and tell them there has been an erroneous transfer they then should sort it out

    I don't know.
The best way of recording all correspondence is to write and send it by recorded delivery.
you need to keep a copy yourself of course.
