GE Money.......again

I'm not the first to hit a brick wall when trying to reclaim PPI from GE Money. Has anyone succeeded?

I wrote to GE Money last year, sending them a template letter from MSE. I sent the letter by recorded delivery but received no response. So I wrote to the FOS to complain.
I have received a response from the FOS. They cannot deal with my complaint because GE Money have never been members of GISC (I expected this so no surprise). However, the FOS say they can consider a complaint against the underwriters once I have exhausted my own complaints process with them.

I haven't contacted the underwriters yet. They are Pinnacle Insurance. Should I use the same MSE template letter to write to them or is there a better one?

Hi there and yes use the same letter as you have done with the other, and deal with this the same way.
If they then come back and say no, at least the FOS will be able to take a look at it for you.

Some of us are in the same situation and have gone that direction, good luck with this.;)
