Any Suggestions / Help with Natwest revoking an offer

After following advice on this site (Thanks) I received a letter from Natwest in 2007 syaying that they would offer me around 2 k back which was put on hold due to the court case , last week I recieved a letter basically saying that they now deem the charges to be fair and that I have 8 weeks to respond before they consider the matter closed.

By the fact they made an offer initially is there anything I can do by way of sending them a letter to follow up on this in an attempt to get what they offered me in the first place.
Any advice, suggestions of working or better still a template letter would be VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!!

What was the date of their offer letter?
    Did you reply accepting it?
Have you written to them about it the the intervening 2 years?

Did they actually make the offer ?

Did you accept the offer within 2 months ?

If no to both of those then no the offer doesn't still stand, if they did make an offer, and you accepted it within the two months, then they should have paid you it at the time and you can bug them for it.

Hi, newby here, sorry not a reply just struggling to actually get on to ask for help. I was offered a goodwill from RBS with an account on financial hardship basis, but refused on another account with same financial hardship issue. I accepted and forwarded my response, they did not receive!! several calls later they continued to promise to address it, still no monies, they have now put this account to a third party who are threatening court proceedings with a threat to put a charge on our property, they have not accepted the fact that the claim was in place. I have all the paperwork thankfully, any suggestions?

Please seek advice from the Financial Service Ombudsman. If Incasso is chasing the debt, tell them that the debt has been passed to them in error and the Original creditor is currently negotiating a refund of charges because you are suffering financial hardship issues. If Incasso insist on a payment refuse it point blank until the original creditor ie the bank have done what they have said.
Write to the bank(recorded delivery) and state you are accepting their offer of a refund of charges on financial hardship grounds plus you want them to reimburse you costs and telephone calls because the bank lost the original acceptance form and further compensation based on the fact that they passed the debt on whilst you were still discussing it with the bank.
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009

Sorry, you're not going to like this.

They make an offer of 2k, which you don't bother replying to at all and are only galvanized into doing anything about it when they write to you two and a half years later.

Some people are their own worst enemy.

The only chance you have now is if you are suffering financial hardship.See guide here:
