Basic facts, i hope will help with some replies.
Own my own business as a taxi driver with 2 part time drivers.
seriously injured in a no fault accident.
didnt drive for 1 year after accident
before incident 1 part timer worked monday and tuesdays days only. the other worked wed to fri days only.
i covered all evening and weekends + provided daytime back up.
all documented by taxi records and accountants.
no win no fee solicitor tells me ..
i have a duty to keep claim to a minimum ( no problem ) i can claim for injuries, expenses and loss of earnings. but if i wish to claim for " damage to the business " it would be hard to prove and he advises against, if i wish to pursue i would have to do so on a paid basis.
where do i stand, the business is struggling now, the rival drivers have increased there work both in terms of drivers, cars and even a new firm has started. the solicitor tells me we are in a recession but that is only 1 year old my accident was 25 months ago, i think the business was damaged in year one and is compounded further in year 2 by the recession.
any views of where i stand, i feel that they are taking the easy option on the injuries and the harder part trying to put me off.

I would speak to a "proper" solicitor in that field, and pay the 30 minute fee to see if they believe you have a case0
