  • I obviously use E and L and had no problems setting up the payment, the documents arrived quickly and the price was right.
TBH I think every insurance company is going to get slated as people are paid to find reasons not to pay out when something goes wrong.

If you choose E and L then find someone who has got a policy and enter their name when you sign up - they get a £10 high st voucher, and the policy is only £19.50!! You might get a drink out of it :-)
    Bump due 22nd September
  • I am not stupid Franny Ann!

They aren't even open on a Sunday! It's phone lines 9-5 Mo-Fri for them.

Partner and I have tried several times each week day and there is no answer.
Give yourself a Chistmas bonus £14 a week!
    Total so far £28

All right love, put your handbag away! You posted on the 7th (a sunday) and said you got the letter yesterday (saturday) and said
I have been trying to call and it just rings out -no-one ever answers!

Its perfectly reasonable to assume you meant you have been calling that day, it was only a suggestion.
:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:
  • Hi, Hi,

I'm not sure how to start a new thread so I've picked the thread as close to the topic I'm interested in! Basically, I have wedding insurance which I took out a few months ago. I bought a sample wedding dress and needed to get it dry cleaned so I called my insurance company (E& L) to ask if anything went wrong with the cleaning would I be covered? I wouldn't have been but that's fine as the dress went through cleaning fine.

Anyway, a few days ago my friend came over and I showed her my dress but as it was hung up, her daughter tripped and spilled Ribena all over it, I'm contemplating sending it to be dry cleaned again but I fear it is destroyed. If I try to claim, given that I called them only a few weeks ago about dry cleaning are they likely to reject my claim?

I don't know what to do, my dream dress, possibly destroyed...
