E&L wedding insurance

Hello,
Hope no one minds me posting this here because I'm not asking for business, just making people aware, but if you have an E and L policy you get a £10 high st voucher for refering a friend, I wish I'd have known before I signed up so someone could've got the voucher!!!
Just thought I'd let you know.
Hayley

The reviews of their wedding insurance claim service are just as bad.

You take out wedding insurance for peace of mind. If something happens (accidental damage to dress, supplier going bust), you want to know that your claim will be dealt with promptly. With most of the stories in the reviews, E&L took so long sorting claims that couples had already got married, and had to find the money to pay for replacement items themselves with no money appearing from E&L until much later. It's just not what you need at a time that's stressful enough.

For any insurance, wedding or otherwise, you want someone with a decent claims service. You hope you never have to use it, but if you do you don't want it to be a major source of stress.

Wouldn't touch E&L for insurance with a barge pole. Their reputation for avoiding payouts on legitimate claims is legendary.

You can find bad experiences with any insurance!!

    Confetti!

Its better to get the insurance you can afford than none at all! No insurance company 'wants' to pay out, and some of the complaints about E&L are because they are claiming for things covered by either house or car insurance, but because its 'wedding' related they are trying to get it from the 'wedding' insurance!

I can just as easily find mentions of E&L which are pointing out the good points

So all in all, I would say, see E&L for what it is a budget product, which will cover the basics!! And as someone who is still waiting for her ceiling to be repaired by a 'premium' insurance company you have to moan at all of them :D
:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:
  • They are crap.

I signed up at the national wedding show. Got a letter yesterday declaring that on 24th Feb "my annual" payment had been not allowed, blah blah etc. therefore could I phone them as the cover would lapse 7 days from the date of the letter!

I have been trying to call and it just rings out -no-one ever answers!
Give yourself a Chistmas bonus £14 a week!
    Total so far £28
