My bulbs arrived today , the three lots of plants that came with them looked a little worse for wear certainly not as good in appearance as from other on line plant suppliers but as others have been told I`ll just have to wait and see how they turn out, considering they were les than £8.00 I won`t be too worried.

the bulbs are fine but some of the plants i ordered seem to be in poor health. Called the customer services and they said they should be fine and are guaranteed to grow. I am taking pictures and will send it to them regardless just in case they decide not to grow.

2 weeks ago my strawberry plants were pretty much roots with one dead stick sticking out!

Now, I have multiple leaves from each plant. All they needed was plenty of water, but not too much and warmth.

:rotfl:thats what I do with all my plants - tubers, bulbs, even seeds!! I am veering more towards perennials now as well, so I don't have to bother planting every year.

    I don't even know what a perennial is!! :(
  • Recieved mine last week, some looked a little worse for wear, my other half planted them at the weekend and they have all sprouted and look very well. So I would say plant them and give them a chance.
  • For those saying the plants ook poor you need to remember the time of year.

Most plants are only just poking through the soil so when you buy new plants there may only be a small amount of the plant showing.

Some things will look "dead" - they are just dormant.
EG strawberries will just be a bare root plant - ie just the root - so u plant it and then the leaves wil come (then hopefully the strawberries).

Most bushes will lok like twigs also at this stage - plant them, water them and im sure they will grow fine.

Ive ordered for ages from them and all the plants have grown well so please dont worry whatthey look like when they get delivered.

If you have any perennials either pot them on into a bigger pot each so they can grow otherwise you could plant them directly in the soil (i do the former then i plant when i can see where the gaps are in my border)

Couldn't agree with you more. I ordered two lots (with other plants, bushes, soft fruits, etc) which came three and two weeks ago respectively. I potted up all except the bulbs and all now have healthy buds on the bushes even though most have been outside. The strawberries etc were planted in pots (going on a patio wall) and kept in the garage and now have healthy leaf formation.

    Terrific value:T
