PO travel card - shall I cash it in?

I loaded a post office travel card with euros last year and didn't use it. I can't decide whether to cash it in or not. After all it is not protected by the FSCS. On the other hand I don't have any plans to go abroad for several months at least, probably next year.

I would have no concerns on the protection front.
You need to check if the card has an expiry date - many of them do.
And depending on what rate you bought at you could make a profit by cashing now!0 -
Thanks for that. I hadn't thought about expiry dates but have checked and it's OK till 03/11. If I don't travel abroad this year I guess I am unlikely to do so before it expires. Think I might cash it is as rates will work in my favour at the moment.0
