Just wondering who you would go for?
A) £350 fixed price (labour and materials) to strip and make good walls, with new lining paper and paint.
£350 labour and materials to be paid separately. Same duties as Person A.
Both quotes are for the hallway, landing and staircase area (very tall staircase ceiling) and I am in London.
For person A his price was good but he seemed quite laid back (and was late for the quote). Whilst Person B actually quoted £650 but when I negotiated hard with him he said he would match the other...
I am edging towards Person B but was he trying to rip me off with a quote of £650 in the first place??!!
The hallway and landing is small but the staircase area is very tall...

Even £650 is cheap for complete HSL TBH but you don't say if it includes woodwork. The more expensive guy must want the job badly to entertain such a drop but no reason to think he'll not do it well for all that. I'd run a mile from the £ 350 all in guy if it includes all the woodwork.

Hi,
Thanks for the replies.
Just spoke with Person B and he will be doing the job for us
Aside from the paste, lining paper and paint - I think this will be at most around £100
So all in all around £450 for the complete worksFind a job you like and you add five days to every week0
