  • Get a Henry - Simple and quick, sucks like nothing you have seen before and loads on ebay. Very hard to beat for the money.

The most common fault with Dyson's is that the tubing or filters are blocked! Have you checked?

henry's are the kings , i've had one that i use for work , it's just packed up after 10 years of heavy use , lots of people in the building trade use them , i've yet to meet one with a dyson , if they've got an unclogged bag in them they are almost as good as picking up as a dyson

not sure what you mean by expensive- question was asked many times a few months ago and lots of people suggested miele cat and dog- sorry if not in price range. what exactly is wrong with dyson? is it not working when you press the on switch?

I can vouch for the Henry - well my wife can.

The other thing I've got is a Travis Perkins supplied power take off vacuum rated at 1400 watts. It cost me around £70. I was using it yesterday to vacuum debris off someones lawn!

My wife tells me its not as good as the Henry - something to do with the head on it.

There's a guy in Weston-super-Mare that sells reconditioned Dyson's, often on Ebay. He may be able to repair yours or take it in part exchange. We bought one from him for about £45 and it looked/worked like brand new.

    Just found his business card.
