Hi fellow MSE's
5 Months ago my parents switched their energy suppliers to Scottish Power. To date we have not received a bill. 5 months in a row we have submitted our usage online and every month we get an email saying
'we have had billing issues, we will add it on to your next bill' 1 month no problem, 2 months bit steep but 5 months rolled into one?
Is there anything we can do? we have complied with everything they have asked us for... i know we have used the electricity and gas but have no idea how much this bill could be..
Thanks for any advice

what was the final reading from the old supplier. what is the reading now. subtract one from the other. Then consult the tariff you signed up for and you can work out how much the bill is.
If you are really confused, post up the meter readings here, the dates, and details of the tariff signed up to, and someone will work it out for you!!Indecision is the key to flexibility0 -
If I were you, I would give them a quick telephone call just to see if it's a problem that can be rectified over the phone. When you moved over to them, if your meter wasn't read/you didn't read it and submit a reading, they may have produced a dud estimate. I agree with anniecave - check your final bill from your other supplier (as the starting reading with Scottish Power should be exactly the same).0

Hi,
as you are providing your readings on line can you not view an updated online account a day or so later.
Perhaps when you signed up you opted for paperless billing.0 -
Why have you no idea how much your bill will be? Surely you are monitoring your meters? Everyone, other than the very wealthy, has to do this as a matter of course regardless of hic-coughs.0

Put in a complaint.
This seems to be the only way go get any results with scottish power.
When you give the meter readings there should be a section to look at the recent bills to download as a pdf.Know the difference between what you WANT and what you NEED. :T0 -
Hi StuFromNTU
Sorry to hear about your situation. I'm sure this can be rectified very easily. I would make a note of your meter serial numbers (gas and elec) and current meter readings and then call us to check what is happening with your account.
You mention that you update your meter readings online. Did you agree to have an online account with ScottishPower? If this is the case then you will not receive a paper invoice and instead this can be view online by logging into your account.
Contact us either by telephone or email and we will be able to answer all the questions you have.
If you want me to look into your account for you then just send me your details.
Kind Regards
