I have been using these tablets and they can be quite expensive though Lloyds Pharmacy are doing a pack of 84 for £35 and when you buy 2 you get £10off and free delivery. that makes it half price if you where to buy the 42 pack at £20 (usally £32)

anyone thinking of using this should try your doctor first, you can get it on prescription which would be £6.80 for a month in England, £4 scotland, wales is free and not sure about NI! doctors seem to be giving it out a bit easier nowadays so always worth asking them first if your serisously wanting to try it.;)
ETA: its not alli thats on prescription but xenical which is the prescription only equivilent and is double the strength of Alli. Orlistat is the drug name.would love to win an ipad!

Be careful if not seeing a doctor, because these don't necearrily combine with other medication e.g. thyroxine.
If you are going to pay yourself and refuse to see a doctor for free, then I recommend at least doing some research on line, but really you should be seeing a professional and not doing medical research yourself (I suggest it only as a last resort).0 -

Totally agree about the seeing a doctor, and in answer to the 'delicate' questions about it - yes it does, I know I used to be in a job where I monitored people on orlistat as o;e of my many pleasant tasks.anyone thinking of using this should try your doctor first, you can get it on prescription which would be £6.80 for a month in England, £4 scotland, wales is free and not sure about NI! doctors seem to be giving it out a bit easier nowadays so always worth asking them first if your serisously wanting to try it.;)

Can I reinforce that they are not a wonder pill that will let people eat and they'll lose weight. If you don't change your eating habits - as a lot didn't - there's no weight loss - just some very embarrassing side effects.
Another important point is that if you are on a healthy weight loss diet - you shouldn't be eating that much fat anyway, so they don't do that much good. I have seen orlistat help some people, but these or the non prescroption milder alternatives aren't an easy way to dramatic weight loss.0 -
I'm 5ft3 and 13st 1lb with a BMI of 30 so according to the chart I'm obese or 'well fat' as you do delicately put it.Doesn't that qualify as being well fat?
But I'm a size 14 but the average size of a UK woman being size 16.
BMI charts are not an accurate why to assess if someone is overweight.
Just ask any fit rugby player!!Third time lucky on WW I hope :j

BMI isn't worth anything really. It doesn't take into account muscle mass at all.0
