foundation/skin care for combination skin, please

Hi, i am 25 yo and have a sensitive combo skin... I tried to go all natural, and own a lot of mineral make up but even 1 hour later my face is so shiny that it is ridiculous!
i have dark circles, so this in the only area at this time that i use non mineral make up.i have also redness in my cheeks.
if i use a good concealer i dont mind using a moisturizer with color but this too get too oily in my skin ( tried nivea and stila)
i bought some mineral make up from maybelline aswell as dream satin liquid , these two look a bit like masks, i dont like them.. plus they make my skin oily too, i even use mineral powder but they do not control my oily face.

For skin care i use the body shop Vitamin E range.

can you please suggest good skin care products and a good foundation that will last me all day ? also powder .

    Hi

I have similar skin and find that biore pore perfect moisturiser works well for me. It is available from boots and other chemists and isn't too expensive. It is designed for oily skin and is oil free.

On the make up front I am a big fan of lilylolo mineral makeup as a foundation and use a benefit concealer for my dark circles. Can't remember what its called but its a stick concealer in yellow packaging.

You need to get your combination skin under control - make up wont do that

Go look at the OCM threads

As a fellow sufferer of very sensitive skin with roseacea as well as an oil slick of a T zone - I am now able to wear foundation all day. it doesnt slide off or go shiney ( well it does eventually but thats like with a hard shift in the kitchens).

As for the mineral foundations,( which I also now use) make sure they are as pure as posible, not mixed with cheap fillers and not as talc as their main ingredient

Isn't it fun having combo and sensitive skin;)I know where your coming from hun, the OCM helps a lot but the oilys still keep coming the only thing that controls it without a breakout is Milk of Magnesia (yes, really) apply some to a Cotton wool pad and put on a thin layer under your foundation, you can then wear whatever foundation you like without a problem, and of course its super cheap and won't irritate, primers for oily skin have this as one of their ingredients so although it sounds odd your just being clever - hth:)

:rotfl:it wont smell cos your using such a thin layer, it feels quite cooling when you put it on and then it just drys, any brand will do and it shouldn't cost more than 2 or 3 pounds, you'll be in good company using it, loads of make up artists have this as a secret weapon as it really is bomb proof, you can also buy it in Morrisons, Tescos etc in the indigestion section;)

I'm keen to try the M of M. My concern is when I've used it on my nose - to help blackheads I do put it on quite thickly and it cracks when it dries. Glowgirl, can you just reassure me thata thin layer won't crack?
    Thanks x
