Part of the Furniture 10,000 Posts Name Dropper Photogenic
the reason i say contact your office is the way the tracking works with RM and tracked items
once an item is scanned into the delivery office it is scanned as ready for delivery
if it isnt scanned again(as in with a PDA on delivery) it defaults to delivered
so if say a driver came out and couldnt get in the building so returned it to the DO and it wasnt scanned in
    it would show as delivered
to further muddy the waters,RM pay BT £30 if they dont deliver these items in 3 days,so its in RM's interests that it at least shows as delivered ;)

In case it's of interest to anyone, still not found the package that was supposedly delivered. Porter doesn't know anything about it and neither do my neighbours. I think BT messed up my order big time as now they've restarted the order (new email sent) with a new order number, so have to wait yet another week for what was supposed to be activated last week.

Another strange thing, when I called BT to chase them up, they some how also had my parents address recorded even though I never input that on the online order form or told them anything about my parents BT account. I imagine they either linked the accounts through the mobile I used when I chased up the order or from the computer (cookies) I used when I placed the original order - don't see why they had it in the first place especially since I didn't even give my own name on the new account as always used my partner's name. I made my best effort to set up a "new" account...

Confused and a little annoyed to be honest as didn't expect this from BT - this was the main reason I didn't go for TalkTalk as read lots of bad reviews for their Customer Service so opted for the more reliable but expensive BT package. Seems I was wrong about the reliable bit.
