Well done on going "back to school"!!
I'm doing the same! I've had a phobia since I dropped out of Uni as my Uni and college years weren't enjoyable as I had hoped!
I've booked myself on a CPID course (starts Sept) in Training in Practice.. the good thing is work are paying and I get paid study days!!!
Keep up the good work!!!Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 092

to whomever didn't want letters after their name...can i have them? i've never felt so coolas when i realised i was lynsay jane .... bsc after i last graduated!
It's not that I don't want them, I just haven't got round to sorting out the membership..........that and I'd feel a bit of a fraud (even though I've done the studying and I know my work was to a high standard), that I now can't remember that much of what we studied....I am sure if I had a quick look through my books I'd pick it up easily again......
I don't know why I'm so hard on myself........I know a few people who are AAT qualified aswell........and really don't know what they are doing.....shouldn't have managed to get past the first year! And these are people who are doing accounts for people (and tax which is something they are not even qualified in!)........and they have trouble with the basics.....I find that a bit dangerous myself..........wouldn't fancy having a business and them doing my accounts!!
I know it sounds daft, but that kind of lowers the value of the qualification in my eyes.....you have people who were really crap at it and still managed to pass with the same qualification as people who were good at it......
Yet here I am not feeling confident enough to set myself up a little business of my own doings accounts for others?0 -

Well done Mrs Arkwright:A
Even if Law is not really for you, do try and finish the course, as it will develop your study skills for future learning, as well as giving you a sense of achievement.
It is surprising how unrelated areas of study can interlink, I do Open Universty Maths, just for fun. but I have been surprised how it has really helped in my job, theatre nursing.
Keep the forum posted of how you are getting on.
