Well as a frame of reference I just got mine today after sending off the form to DVLA on 22nd February, so took 7 working days in total. I think now's the time to ask them where the V5 is. Did you get the new owner's supplement and fill in the old v5?

I think they say allow 4 weeks but it's normally much quicker. (Took delivery of new car on Monday - V5 arrived today.)

I'd say it was time to follow up

On their website, the DVLA say...
DVLA will aim to deliver a registration certificate to you within two to four weeks of receiving the application. Please allow six weeks for the registration certificate to be delivered before contacting the DVLA.

I would call them up and ask about the v5, last car i bought i had to end up sending a V62 to them as previous owner didnt bother to send V5 to DVLA, if you do have to get a V62 it wont cost you anything as long as you send in the green new keeper supplement.
