where to store a bike

We've just got a pink bike for my daughter but I'm not sure where to keep it to keep it nice. Hubby says theres no room in the shed but says we cant just leave it in the garden as it'll rust. I dont really want to buy a bike storage thing, they seem to cost far more than the bike itself, could I just get one of those plastic throw over covers, like you get for a bbq?

You can get bike covers like BBQ covers.
Halfords would give you an idea of price but shop around because it will be cheaper elsewhere unless they have a sale on.Not Again0 -
Considered a wall hanger for the shed or Garage?
We have three folding racks in the garage, two for the ladder and one for my bike.
Sort of like this item 200386424595 on ebay, but ours came from Go Outdoors as they are a bit cheaper as I can collect locally.0 -
Theres no room to hang it in the shed either, theres windows on one side, and shelves on the other. the ends are no good either. But I'll check out the halfords type ones thanks0

Just make sure its locked up securely, unless you live in a very low crime rate area....[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that[/redtitle](house of lords debate, talking about Cameron)0 -
Hi,
I used to stay in a flat, and kept my bike in the 'end room', a bit for storage, boxes, stuff that I probably should've dumped, but preferred to hoard.
Anyway, in the winter when the bike was not used, I would hang it up on these, by the wheels, a) it gave me more floor space, and b) it saved the tyres from getting cracked by sitting in same position.
Perhaps you could suspend it in the shed, it shouldn't be too heavy to work with.
An economical way to store Bicycles and spare wheels.
Use ceiling beams as the support for these hooks.
Clean sharp threads requires no pre-drilling.
Made from 5/16 inch steel rod.
Heavy vinyl coating protects the bike or wheel.
Zinc plated to prevent corrosion.
Edit: I wouldn't leave it outside, even locked, it'll rust.0
