Working but still getting JSA?

I started a new job at the end of January but wasnt getting 24 hours as is the limit on joint JSA claims. I have been receiving payments since? I dont understand what is going on? Ive informed them Im working, Ive signed off too. My Husband still signs. I am now getting 29 hours a week/hopefully 30 soon yet we are still getting payments into our account? It surely isnt right? Confused!
Now we have got another payment in of a weeks couple amount.. dont know what to do

Is your husband on CB JSA? How much are you receiving?

Whatever you do, don't spend it as they will soon ask for it back.. :(

Husband is on IB JSA. I dont know why they are still paying it, I mean, Ive been in also about tax credits and everything. I know they have a carp system when it comes to joint claims but this is ridiculous. They cant even find me on the system! I havent had the back to work payments either. Sigh.. I dunno.

Phone again and ask to speak to a supervisor, if it's not sorted soon they are going to hit you with a huge overpayment.

Still not sorted! Never did get a call back like they said they would. Called again (again) a couple weeks ago and waiting to hear back (again)! The person said they need my papers so have to get them sent up which could take 2 days to 4 weeks. In the meantime Im trying to move and we have rent arrears because we dont know how much we should be paying and the HB place have stopped paying rent until the JSA has stopped! No rent paid since March! Argh! No idea how to get them to move along quicker. Calling again tomorrow. Just with my work hours all scattered its difficult to call some days.
Anyone have any idea how I can move this along? I have about 1k (or something) of their money and they dont seem in a hurry to get it back!

Send letter to them, then you will have record. We know it is 21st century, but sometimes sending letter is a better way
    Spend smart, and save more.
  • That is very poor by DWP - You MUST get your husband to inform contact JCP again and inform them you are working and stop the overpayment. That said, DWP are not in a position to get the money back as it sounds like it is official error...

If you are working 29/30 hours a week your husband shouldn't still be claiming jsa(ib). he needs to fill his es40 book in and put a new single claim in for jsa(conts).

Called again and they say to wait another week so they hopefully get the papers to them. So its still waiting and I just want this sorted so we can move from this hellhole!
Husband shouldnt be getting any money I think, he just signs for his NI thing.
