PC 5.1 surround to a normal tv.. possible?

Hihi.. i'm sure its been asked before but can't find anything.

I have 5.1 surround sound for me pc (so 3 leads, rear, center/sub, front, green black and orange)

Is there a way to somehow convert them so they go into a tv and act as surround sound for that?

I'm considering buying an LCD TV so need to know whether I can hook up the surround. If not i'd have to buy one with VGA input... hmm

thanks
