Picked 2 up yesterday from Biggleswade Homebase - full size Santa Fe patio heater reduced from original £144.99 to a fantastic £37.
There were 4 of them, now there are none. Also picked up an Outback Blazer bbq from £150 to £45 and a Winchester patio table down to £25 (previous reduced price was £75 so imagine was around £150 originally?)
Now need to buy a bigger garden0 -
Went to Leamington to try and find Patio Heaters at this price. No joy
Can anyone confirm whether the ones spotted by johnhydeath were a one off, or is this available in any other stores?0 -

They are stll £144.99 at Stevenage. I was told it was because the Biggleswade store was closing for a re-fit. I went to the Biggleswade store on Friday and was initially told that there were two left but were reserved for staff members. They still had the wooden carver garden chairs for £10.00 and table for £30.00.0 -
Thanks MKS. In this case does anyone know of any other stores closing for refitting!0

I'll have to say that you guys have all been pretty lucky - I work on customer services for Homebase and I know that we sold out of furniture extremely quickly and now only have dribs and drabs left as 'clearance' before the christmas stock starts coming in soon! I do know though that there are a few ex-display barbeques lurking around at most stores so if you don't mind them coming fully assembled and basically as new for about a third of the price then they are a really good option! Plus you can always purchase an extended three year warantee for about £10-20 if you arent completely sure! There's quite a few patio heaters left as well.
I'm afraid a lot of the reductions you are talking about aren't global - the furniture sells at different rates so it's down to the manager's discretion when they want to reduce things to clear space or get rid of their last bit of stock. It's also down to them how much they are willing to sell things for, which is why there are often price discrepancies between local stores.
The best thing I can advise you to do is go in and ask if they have any clearance garden furniture or also see what garden furniture has sold out but still has a display model, then enquire as to whether you can buy that as they will often give you a discount or it may even already be reduced. They should also be able to flat-pack it for you so you can take it away without having to pay delivery charges. If you have seen any items that you are interested in but aren't in stock then get someone at customer services to check other stores but don't take the computers word for it - ask them if they would mind calling the other store to double-check and possibly reserve it for you! They won't mind and I know how frustrating it can be for you to travel a distance to find something and find it's not there - trust me, I've been on the receiving end of it!!!
Anyways, hope this helps - good luck with your bargain hunting, feel free to ask about anything!0 -

Hmm how odd - both Stevenage and Biggleswade are part of the same region as the Homebase I work for and we havent been informed about them closing for a re-fitting! Also this means they would have reduced other items such as seasonal furniture (Lena bed, Norfolk/Chicago Table, Cara Recliner, etc). Maybe I could be wrong!
Also, never heard of Harrowgate - probably more likely to be Hampstead as this is the name of the range we stocked this year! Was it quite long and narrow with lots of little horizontal pieces of wood going down each side of the central piece made of light teak if I remember correctly?0
