Claiming Bank Charges -Should I Attempt To?

Hi,
I would appreciate any advice about claiming back bank charges. I haven't had an awful lot over the years but feel that they were very unfair. Each time it happened, it was for a small amount and I usually contacted the bank by phone that day. For example, once I was overdrawn for approximately £5 and phoned to explain that I was in work and couldn't get to bank before it closed. Each time I was overdrawn, I asked for my overdraft to be upped temporalily but that couldn't be done as my overdraft is so high. I still received a £25-35 bank charge each time.
So basically I'm asking, is it worth pursing reclaiming these charges. I've been reading through the forums on this subject and I am confused. Is the situation with reclaiming bank charges as blurred as it seems?

I would read Martin's guide to reclaiming again and again until you are clear how the process works and then decide if you want to reclaim or not the bank charges.0
