broken window handles

my parents are both retired and receive basic pension. they have very little savings. i live with them and am on high rate dla for long term illness. a few of the windows in our home are broken and do not lock or close safely. is there some sort of grant they could get to pay to have the windows fixed, with thanks.

    Hi Claira, I live in East Sussex and we have many different organisations that can help with tasks like this. They include the Navigator Service, In Touch and the council also run a handy man service. If you are by chance in East Sussex let me know and I will give you all the contact details.
    The best thing to do is contact age concern and they will have all the details to help.
