Who would it be best to call? Mercers or Barclaycard?
I know it's advised not to do any correspondence through the phone with creditors, but from my experience, it's always been good to have a flowing one to one contact explaining everything through the phone, rather than the slow process of communicating through mail. Though i am having my doubts about calling Mercers at the moment, as i do know debt agencies can be quite merciless and abusive.
Anyone who has had their debt referred to Mercers by Barclaycard? What was your method of contact, and who was it with?
Thanks for all the help. This is a great forum!0 -
I had to deal with Mercers and they were a pain to talk to over the phone. Letter communication isn't a bad correspondance for these type of scenarios. You can have proof of word (which can help).0

Ive dealt with Mercers before, I ignored my Barclaycard for months because one girl set up my DD to go out on the wrong day, the next guy I spoke to put the phone down on me - it goes on, so when I spoke to this lady at Mercers i explained it all to her and she was really REALLY nice, maybe she was a one off but she really understood my situation and didnt pressure me to repay more than I could0
