Best Movie Downloads?

Help - any advice please. We are fed up with rubbish on Freeview, refuse to join Sky, and are looking at sites that offer 'free' film downloads. Any tips, please? The one I am looking at Moviescapital.com - asks for a one off payment that lasts two years. They have good testimonials but I would prefer an independent recommendation. Any comparison sites around that anyone can recommend?

That site doesn't look at all legitimate, I would advise strongly against handing over any money
I don't know of any sites where you can legally and freely download films - at least not blockbuster titles. You can try https://www.archive.org for a catalogue of free/public domain films, but there might not be anything to your liking.0 -

read the comments at the bottom and avoid this site totally.0 -
watching one of the free movies on the site now could just be a hook to grab you in with but they also have a forum and they do allow you to see the movie collection too
but like with anything I would do some research b4 handing over cash0 -
i think the normal thoughts of 'you dont get something for nothing' and 'if it looks to good to be true it probably is' spring to mind
the way i usually look at movies is, it is best to buy them on DVD, you can pick up loads these days for £3-5 you can then watch them when you want and how ever many times you want, and if you get bored of it or just dont really like it, you can sell them on ebay amazon or play and get some of your money back
Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -
I have Apple TV and look out for cheap itunes vouchers (£30 worth for £20 kind of thing)
Keeps me in HD and non-HD films. You can get similar hooking a PC with itunes up to your TV if you have the right outputs/cables but i think you can't get HD then
Lovefilm.com is another good/better value option but I was never organised enough to watch the films and post them back frequently enough to make it worth while0 -
Thanks everyone - phew! Glad I didn't join moviescapital! Will have a re-think!0
