Who do I owe money to - Lender or CCA?

To cut a long story short, I received a letter one day from a debt collection agency saying they have been instructed to collect the debt by a lender (one that I acknowledge exists etc).
But then, four days later, I received a letter from the lender itself in response to my request for a copy of the credit agreement and where they acknowledged my statutory fee of £1 paid in (a token payment)... so.... who am I dealing with?

Oh... nope, pretty sure I haven't had one... the one from Clarity is called Notification of Instruction apparently. Is that the same thing? If it is, then it was still dated several days BEFORE Creation sent me a letter acknowledging my payment etc.0

Creation? Store card or credit card?
If you look on the statement who is the card actually issued by? i.e. MBNA etc0 -
I had Clarity chasing me about my Citicard debt. I still hadn't received the CCA from Citicard so sent one of Never In Doubts 'in dispute' letters and Clarity wrote back to say thanks for letting them know and they had passed it back to Citicard. Have a look on the unenforceability thread and it will show you which letter to send.

It's a store card. The card is issued by Duet (I think?). I don't mind making token payments or paying bit by bit back when I have money but it's confusing because of the dates on the letters and while the DCA are demanding payment, the store card company are still acknowledging payment received and didn't mention anything about the DCA.0 -
